Upper West Side Residence
Upper West Side Residence
NEW YORK, NY
A four-bedroom, four-bathroom residence in a pre-war building on the Upper West Side, delivered completely new and completely blank. White walls, white ceilings, and very little of the character you would expect from a home in a building like this. Every layer you see was introduced. Custom moldings and wainscoting brought architecture and depth to the walls, while plaster ceiling medallions frame alabaster chandeliers, casting a soft, warm glow throughout the apartment. The palette is quiet, camel, beige and warm neutrals layered with rich walnut and grounded by touches of ebony. Travertine and marble add movement, texture, and a sense of permanence to the surfaces used every day. The building always had the history and the character. The apartment now feels as though it had always belonged within it.
