A nursery and a primary bath inside a Hoboken waterfront condo, designed together so the two rooms speak the same language. The idea was character without theme. In the nursery, a soft plaid wallpaper sets a quiet rhythm above painted wainscoting, while a walnut spindle crib, a walnut dresser and an upholstered glider bring warmth against a pale rug. A row of vintage golf prints does the decorating; nothing else was needed. The primary bath leans into stone and oak: a double vanity with veined marble counters and brass fittings, a freestanding tub set in a marble surround, and a glass steam shower to close the room. Two rooms, one palette, and a home that gained a little more calm.
