New Construction Home
INTERIOR DESIGN IN MELVILLE, NY

This corner of Melville was a riding school for decades, and when the community went up the equestrian center stayed. The houses were built around it. This one is new, and the land outside decided how it should feel inside. Taupes and warm neutrals run through every room, held soft so the trees beyond the glass stay the brightest thing in the house. The entry opens on a checkerboard of Carrara and Bardiglio marble and a blackened iron stair. Through the arch, a Phillip Jeffries mural in washed blues wraps the dining room, the one wall in the house that raises its voice. The living room climbs two full stories to a wall of glass, and an Italian chandelier drops into that volume on long brass stems, so the room reads as a room and not an atrium. The furniture stays low beneath it. Upstairs the primary bedroom turns deep and quiet in plum. New house, old ground. The calm came with it.

Every space starts with a vision.
